to oversee construction projects using three delivery methods: design-build, general contracting and construction management.
As one of the oldest construction company in the greater Chicago area and one of the oldest companies in the nation, this client has an extensive portfolio of construction services and specialties to offer its clients.

They are looking to hire a Project
manager
with experience with either rail, intermodal, food, institutional or commercial projects. Ideal candidate can either be located out of Chicago area or any other US state.
Duties and
Responsibilities:
Quantity take offs, estimating and selling of new work
Managing reviews of outside consultant work and assisting in value engineering options, scoping bids and contracts
Meeting with owners, subs, government officials and the like to troubleshoot and resolve site conditions
Coordinating with outside engineering consultants
Reviewing and approving shop drawings
Overseeing testing of materials and site conditions
Collaborating with subcontractors, directing field superintendents, and assisting
executive
management on all issues to deliver successful projects
Coordinating all aspects to an efficient project close out

Requirements:
A degree in construction management, engineering, or the equivalent in post-college training
5
years experience managing heavy civil construction projects
Intelligence, a keen attention to detail, and the ability to adjust to dynamic conditions
Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
