Our client provides management services to oversee construction projects using three delivery methods: design-build, general contracting and construction management.
As one of the oldest construction company in the greater Chicago area and one of the oldest companies in the nation, this client has an extensive portfolio of construction services and specialties to offer its clients.

They are looking to hire an Architect with experience building food processing facilities.

Brief description: The Role of Architect supports all design work, shop drawing reviews, specifications reviews, presentations, formatting, drawing coordination, etc. Uses AutoCAD, MicroStation, Revit and other electronic tools to provide professional documentation.

Duties and Responsibilities:
? Plan, organize, and communicate all activities concerning the project and its design fully utilizing the company directed software systems.
? Assure company designs meet professional standards
? Supports all project managers with shop drawing reviews, specification reviews, code compliance and document control.
? Manages the IT related with design including AutoCAD, MicroStation, Revit, Etc.
? Provides creative design and support to all proposal with design reviews
? Lead all green initiatives
? Understands an can interpret various codes utilized in design across the United States
? Assures code compliance in all designs
? Assist in quantity take off utilizing Agtek or the alike.
? Participation in companywide initiatives as required

Qualifications and requirements:
? A Degree in Bachelors of Science in Architectural Studies (BSAS) and licensed architect in one or more states; and 5 years? experience working in Commercial/Industrial design or construction.
? Ability to have strong visual awareness and an eye for detail. Be inventive and imaginative with excellent presentation skills
? Ability to identify complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
